Adler plans large industrial building in south Boise - boisedev.com

Adler Industrial, which purchased the assets of Van Auker Companies earlier this year, plans a large project in South Boise.

The company applied to build a 120,000 square foot industrial building at 535 E. Gowen Rd. in Boise. The site sits in an area with several industrial uses. It is also in a newly-formed urban renewal area under the purview of the Capital City Development Corporation.

The large facility would feature a 42′ tall building, with 19 loading bays on the backside of the property. City of Boise guidelines call for 60 parking spaces, the plan proposes 120. No bike parking is required or planned.

In an interview with Adler Industrial principal Mike Adler earlier this year, he teased projects like this.

“There’s a huge demand. Our goal is to step up the construction of new buildings so we can better meet demand for the market,” he told BoiseDev. “Right now the demand for the market has not been met.”

The new warehouse is one of a flurry of projects in the new CCDC Gateway East district. R&L Carriers will build a truck terminal, Amazon will revamp a building for a distribution center, and another large warehouse will anchor a future industrial park on city-owned land.
