Birmingham will host an industrial and technology conference in April expected to draw more than 200 business, government and academic leaders.
Frontier Conference 2020 will take place April 1 through 3 at The Lyric Theatre and Hill Event Center. The last Frontier Conference took place in 2018 in New Orleans.
Organizers decided to move to Birmingham for its third edition “because of the Birmingham area’s tradition as a manufacturing and industrial center and its status as one of the top hubs for industrial innovation in the South,” according to a news release.
The event seeks to illuminate ideas between industries, with topics ranging from transportation logistics to renewable energy to leadership. Information and registration can be found here.
“Technology is changing the industrial landscape every day, and it can be hard for professionals to know what’s happening beyond their own industries,” Tom Meredith of Brightstar Capital Partners, the conference chair, explained. “This conference offers a unique way for industrial leaders to find new ways to address current challenges while embracing opportunities for the future.”
The announced conference schedule includes panels such as, “Manufacturing Innovation: How Technology Can Drive Productivity,” “Energy & Renewables: What Technologies Are Leading Power Generation and Distribution,” “Aerospace & Defense Industry: What Technologies Are Driving Innovation?” and “Automation & Drones: What Technologies Are Leading Industrial Transformation.”
