PORTLAND, Pa. -- Flames engulfed an industrial property in Portland, Northampton County.
The fire broke out at at the Portland Steel property in the 300 block of North Delaware Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The fire chief says a large building on the property caught fire.
There are no reports of injuries.
About a half-dozen fire departments were called in.
Officials say firefighters are focusing all their efforts on fighting the flames from outside the buildings.
Around 9:30 p.m., video from the scene showed the fire dying down. Most of the flames were replaced with smoke, but firefighters continued to battle hot spots.
The property at one time had been the home to a Cramer's lumberyard and hardware store, before Portland Steel moved in.
